Byodo-In Temple

Byodo-in Temple was built in June 1968 in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants in Hawaii. Located in the majestic Ko'olau Mountains, inside the Valley of the Temples park (Kaneohe), its lush and tranquil scenery has been featured in the movie The Pearl Harbor, hit TV series Hawaii Five-O, Magnum PI and Lost. As one of Oahu's revered landmark, it offers travelers a bit of the Japanese culture.

Admission is $3/adult, $1/child. Open daily, between 9am- 5pm. Remove your shoes before entering the temple.
